About Me

Lawyer Ruben Hoffmann

Lawyer Ruben Hoffmann

After studying law and completing my legal clerkship in Bremen, with training placements at the German Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, and in Portugal, I was admitted to the bar in Freiburg in 2016.

I help all people without secure residency status to assert their rights and improve their residency status more quickly. With over 10 years of experience specifically in immigration and nationality law, I can promise you the fastest possible enforcement of your rights – stress-free, whether online worldwide or in person on-site in Freiburg.

I want you to be able to sleep soundly again and build a future for yourself under safe conditions.

Fees & Costs

Transparent pricing — so you know exactly what to expect from the start.

Initial Consultation

€226,10

Up to 60 minutes of legal advice tailored to your individual situation. The fee will be credited toward any fee for out-of-court representation. Available in person, by video call, or by telephone.

Out-of-Court Representation

€ 1.800,00

Representation before authorities, correspondence, and applications in migration and nationality law. The initial consultation fee of €226.10 will be applied toward this amount. For each additional adult family member: + €900; for each minor family member: + €300.

Action for Failure to Act (Untätigkeitsklage)

Statutory fees (RVG)

If the authority fails to decide on your application within a reasonable time, I will file an action for failure to act with the Administrative Court (Section 75 of the Code of Administrative Court Procedure, VwGO). Fees are charged at the statutory rates under the German Lawyers' Fees Act (RVG). In proceedings concerning a residence permit or settlement permit: €572.21; in naturalisation proceedings: €1,032.44. Court fees are additional; fees increase where multiple persons are involved. Your advantage: if the action succeeds, the authority is generally required to reimburse the costs of the proceedings — in the typical case, no costs remain with you. I will explain the cost risk in your individual case before filing.

Court Representation

Fee agreement

Representation before administrative courts in lawsuits concerning migration and citizenship law. The usual fee is €238 per hour; however, the minimum fee is based on the RVG (Lawyers' Compensation Act), which is determined by the respective value of the matter. It is also possible to agree on a fixed fee.
